UCLMUN 2024
Let's welcome the amazing secretariat of UCLMUN 2024!
Secretary General
LINCOLN CHENG
Hey all! Lincoln here. As the Secretary General of UCLMUN 2024, and former DSG Acads of UCLMUN 2023, I am thrilled to host the UCLMUN's Decennial conference, which holds a special place in my heart. UCLUNA and UCLMUN's legacy began in 2011 and took a pause due to the pandemic, before being revived last year in 2023. Last year, we celebrated the reunion of over 200 participants from more than 15 countries and over 20 universities, reigniting our 13-year tradition and marking a significant milestone in UCLUNA's history. My journey with MUN has profoundly shaped my understanding of global diplomacy and the importance of platforms like UCLMUN, as they mean more than just events; they are too, a hub for collaborations and transformative ideas, ones that could potentially change lives of stakeholders in discussion. This year, I envision UCLMUN 2024 as a platform for future diplomats from across the globe to form lasting connections that transcend geographical boundaries, and I'm confident that UCLMUN 2024 will continue to strive forward in becoming one of the best conferences in the history of UCLUNA.
Deputy Secretary General - Acad
JOSH MILLS
Hello, my name is Josh Mills! I am going into my second year at UCL studying History and Politics of the Americas and I am excited to be your DSG Academics for UCLMUN 2024. My MUN journey started in 2017 in Malaysia where I was able to attend a few conferences. During university, my love of MUN was reinvigorated and I was able to attend 8 conferences in my first year of study. Thus, I am looking forward to putting all of my skills into making this year’s UCLMUN conference the best Conference for all involved. Outside of MUN, I love to play and watch football and cricket (I support Newcastle if anyone is at all interested.) Additionally, I love travelling the world and experiencing as many different cultures as possible. I am also extremely interested in American history and volunteer as a tour guide at the Benjamin Franklin House in London (only £8 entry…). I look forward to meeting you all soon, until then good luck preparing!

DANNA TAN
Hi all! I’m Danna, a first year Politics and International Relations undergrad in UCL. Having hosted my own business competition in high school, together with a great passion towards MUN, I’m looking forward to contributing to UCLMUN 2024 as Deputy Secretariat General for External Relations. I’m excited to work with this year’s amazing team and see UCLMUN be bigger and better!
Director General
TED YIP
Hello! I’m Ted, currently a first year BSc Politics and International Relations student at University College London (UCL), and an incoming student of BA Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, but I’m now living in London. My interest in politics spans from conceptualizing social movements to analyzing global conflicts. Although I didn’t have the chance to do MUN in high school, my passion for MUN never faded away - I have participated in multiple university-level conferences, and am currently serving as the First Year Representative at UCL United Nations Association. I am really excited to serve as the Director General at UCLMUN this year and I look forward to meeting all of you at the conference! Outside of MUN, you might find me either playing on a public piano (which I have been playing for more than 15 years) or studying in the UCL Student Centre until 2am (thankfully it’s open 24/7).
USG Academics
MARIA KLIUCHNIKVA
Hello, hello! My name is Maria, I am a Russian-French first year student in Politics and Sociology at UCL’s School of Slavonic and East European Studies. I’ve been in MUN for a total of three years now; I began online - at THIMUN 2022 - and since then, having fallen in love with the process, I’ve been a delegate and a chair for a few top committees in France and London. I have now gotten the privilege to take part in the secretariat for our home conference as your USG Academics (a role I wouldn’t trade for any other) and I feel very lucky and excited to work with a group of truly amazing people to bring this conference to life. Outside of MUN and academics, my life is, first and foremost, all about music - I run a music magazine at UCL, but I also like playing music or simply simply creating hundreds of unnecessary playlists. And if I didn’t seem UCL-patriotic enough, I also play for our women’s basketball team!
USG Finance
KAI YUAN MOR
Happy Sun-day everybody, my name is Kai and I’m currently a 1st year BSc Human Sciences student @UCL. I’ve been engaged with Model United Nations for over half a decade across SEA, Europe, North America and OMUN having attended over two dozen conferences. In my spare time, I love to LARP as a productive university student. I hope to fully utilise all the math skills my 6th grade maths teacher Mr. fillbach and maximise all delegate’s experience in the upcoming conference. If you have any finance inquiries or sponsorship opportunities pretty please do let me know.
USG Media
BROOKE XIE
Hello! I’m Brooke, and I’ll be running UCLMUN’s media pages this year. I’m Jersey (the US state) born and raised, going into my second year studying ISPS at UCL. I’ve been involved in MUN in some capacity for about 6 years now, and I’m stoked to continue here in London! See y’all in October 💗
USG Delegate Affairs
MEGAN KONG
Hi everyone, it’s Megan here, and I’m a Politics and International Relations student at UCL, also the Vice-President of Academics for UCLUNA. After being on the secretariat last year as USG of Academics and Chairing, I am thrilled to be on board again this year, and serve as your USG of Delegate Affairs. This is my 8th year doing MUN, but I am always learning something new in every conference, just like everyone. Can’t wait to meet you all, and I am sure that this year’s UCLMUN will be absolutely amazing!

DANANN MCALEER
Hi, I’m Danann! I am a first-year student at UCL studying BA Languages and Culture, focusing on French and Spanish. I am from Northern Ireland, and joined UCLUNA at the beginning of my first-year. In the 2024-25 school year, I will serve as Events Director for UCLUNA. I’m particularly interested in environmental issues, and I can’t wait to watch the debates unfold at UCLMUN. Hope to see you there!
Crisis Director
LONG CHI WONG
Hello, everyone! I am Long Chi Wong, your Crisis Director for this conference! Starting my second year studying Chemical Engineering in UCL, I have participated heavily in many MUN conferences before, as delegate, backroomer, and once as a Crisis Director! Outside of MUN, I am interested in alternate history, 3D modelling, daydreaming, writing fanfictions, and lounging around supermarkets buying up everything that’s on discount. This is my second time directing a Crisis, and I wish you all a merry weekend, for engaging in a new, exciting Crisis simulation for the weekend!
Press Director
HAYLEY KWOK
Hello! I’m Hayley, a first year French with Management at UCL. I’m currently the Careers Director for UCL United Nations Association, and will be the 2024-25 VP External Affairs. I was born in Hong Kong, but my MUN journey began in Sixth Form in the UK. I’ve delegated and chaired internal training sessions, and organised my Sixth Form’s MUN conference as USG Conference Services. I’ve since participated in various university MUN conferences as well as being co-chair at QMUN 2024, ManMUN 2024, and LSEMUN:HS 2024, and a Head Director at LIMUN:HS 2024. I first joined MUN to develop confidence and public speaking skills, and while my degree doesn’t have a direct link to international relations, I’m passionate about how MUN encourages reflections on current global affairs. Aside from MUN, I’m a keen baker, photographer, climber and undeniably a huge coffee lover. I look forward to UCLMUN 2024 and hope to see you there!
