Sensitive Topic Policy

UCLMUN  recognises the importance of freedom of speech and wishes to facilitate an environment which promotes constructive discussions about the world and the issues which it confronts. With that in mind, UCLMUN also recognises that in light of current conflicts with a sensitive nature UCLMUN has the right and the duty to create a positive and nurturing environment for delegates.

With this in mind, delegates are asked not to bring up sensitive topics that are not directly relevant to the topic or committee at hand. This will be at the discretion of the chairs. If such topics are brought up without need then chairs will at first request that delegates refrain from bringing such topics up. If the same delegate repeats this offence then the Secretariat will be called and this delegate will get an official warning. If the delegate continues then the Secretariat has the right to remove this delegate from the conference.

UCLMUN is a university-level MUN conference that involves students from various universities across the UK and Europe in round-table dialogues simulating discussions at the UN (and EU).
